Beth Warshaw (she/her)

Licensed Social Worker

Do you work too hard to meet everyone's needs but your own?

I empathetically support people feeling stuck in unsatisfying patterns, and people who hate conflict but recognize "keeping the peace" is taking a toll.

Many of my clients value being “nice” and thinking of others’ needs—sometimes to a fault. You may have a hard time with self-expression, whether that manifests creatively or in your relationships. You may be anxious about significant life changes and transitions, or bogged down by self-doubt, "shoulds," regret, or fear of making a mistake.

I offer a safe place to explore your full range of feelings and practice new ways of expressing them. Together we will connect, increase your awareness, and make shared meaning. We'll make connections between the past and present to understand these patterns, so you can get unstuck from fear and avoidance, and clarify your wants and needs.

I identify as a body-affirming therapist grounded in anti-oppressive practices who understands the value in all types of relationships.

My background & approach

I received my Masters in Social Work from Temple University and my Gestalt certification from the Gestalt Training Institute of Philadelphia.

Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I spent two decades in various music industry, artistic, cultural, educational, nonprofit, and social justice spaces in Philadelphia and Seattle, where I spent significant time immersed in trauma-informed practices, restorative justice, facilitation, fundraising and wealth redistribution, leadership coaching, and organizational dynamics.
